Lending Compliance Auditor – Australian Mortgage

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This role is in the frontline of processing and handling of instructions as it provides the initial quality and timeliness-related outcomes that are crucial to the company’s ongoing success in regard to efficiency and customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

General Compliance:

  • Checking mortgage documents for validity and accuracy
  • Provide assistance and answer queries from brokers and internal clients regarding compliance matters
  • Assist with the Compliance Audits on all brokers
  • Work across a variety of business processes from a compliance perspective
  • Ad-hoc project work expected from the Regulatory Compliance Auditor

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintenance of the Annual File Auditing Schedule
  • Reporting on any breaches observed or uncovered
  • Preparation of compliance audit reports to the Compliance Manager
  • Assist with the implementation of business risk management procedures and controls
  • Assist with the maintenance and implementation of the compliance framework
  • Performing other activities to support the business including liaising with brokers regarding legislation breaches that are identified in the course of compliance audits

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL-SET & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Training will be provided upon onboarding
  • Experience in Australian mortgage account is a MUST
  • Experience in reviewing mortgage documents is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a compliance or audit position is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills – both verbal and written
  • High level attention to details and task driven
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently towards goals in a complex/diverse environment with multiple and changing demands
  • High level of organizational skills
