Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee workflow & SLA management, acting as the primary point for team escalations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for team questions and troubleshooting related to processing loan applications, broker accreditations, and valuations.
  • Work closely with the Team Leader to identify development and training opportunities for team members.
  • Monitor and report on individual and team performance, identifying challenges and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, proactively managing and eliminating potential compliance breaches.
  • Process mortgage loan applications from initial submission to final settlement, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review loan documents and application materials for accuracy and completeness, verifying income, assets, and credit consumer reports.
  • Collaborate with brokers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to gather documentation and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Perform valuations and assess property information to evaluate loan-to-value ratios and property eligibility.
  • Instruct, follow up, and complete reporting on discharges with all funders.
  • Ensure smooth loan settlements and closings through coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Maintain meticulous records of loan processing activities in compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing borrower inquiries and concerns throughout the loan application process.
  • Assist with ad hoc office projects and initiatives as required by management

What You Bring

Experience & Expertise

  • At least 2 years of in depth experience in Australian mortgage brokerage or loan processing.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Apply Online, CoreLogic, Equifax, Microsoft Office applications, and RP Data.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end mortgage loan processing, with a strong grasp of loan origination, underwriting, and closing.
