As a Bookkeeper, you’ll take ownership of daily financial transactions, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations while supporting reporting and compliance requirements. You’ll manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing accurately and on time. 📝 What You’ll Be Doing
- Transaction & Ledger Management:Â Record day-to-day financial transactions, complete the posting process, and maintain updated general ledger accounts.
- Reconciliations:Â Regularly reconcile bank statements and company accounts to ensure absolute data integrity.
- AP / AR & Payroll:Â Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable (including invoicing and collections) and process payroll efficiently.
- Financial Reporting:Â Prepare clear and accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance & Audits:Â Monitor transactions for alignment with corporate policies and financial regulations, and support audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Budgeting Support:Â Assist the team with data and insights for budgeting and forecasting activities.
🗣️ About You
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role. Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in cloud accounting software (such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced in Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-Oriented:Â Armed with a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and an exceptional eye for detail.
- Trustworthy:Â Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information responsibly.
- Adaptable:Â Process-driven, excellent with time management, and able to work collaboratively to hit financial deadlines.
