Collections Officer – Financial Services | Onsite | Dayshift

We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Collections Officer to manage a diverse portfolio of Home, Car, Unsecured, and Asset Finance accounts. In this role, you’ll engage with customers, assess their financial situation, and deliver practical repayment solutions that balance both customer needs and business outcomes.

You’ll play a key role in managing delinquent accounts, identifying hardship cases, and supporting recovery efforts—all while delivering a high level of service and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

📝What You’ll Be Doing

• Handle inbound and outbound calls/emails to manage customer accounts and enquiries
• Manage a portfolio of delinquent and written-off accounts to reduce arrears and losses
• Assess customers’ financial situations and recommend suitable repayment solutions
• Negotiate repayment arrangements and support customers in financial difficulty
• Conduct skip tracing and coordinate recovery or enforcement actions when needed
• Ensure all activities meet compliance, regulatory, and service standards

🗣️ About You

• At least 3 years of collections experience (secured or unsecured lending)
• Strong knowledge of collections regulations (NCCP, Privacy Act, Debt Guidelines)
• Proven ability to manage portfolios and meet collection targets
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-first approach
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and sound decision-making
• Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work both independently and within a team
